Install Optelect and sign in

Optelect is a desktop app for Windows and macOS (see the system requirements). You use it with the same account you created on this website.

1. Download the app

• Windows: get Optelect from the Microsoft Store (the download button on the home page opens it).
• Mac: sign in on the website, then download the version for your Mac. Newer Macs (M1 and later) use the Apple Silicon version; older Macs use the Intel version.

2. Install it

• Windows: the Microsoft Store installs it for you. Open it from the Start menu.
• Mac: open the downloaded .dmg file and drag Optelect into the Applications folder. The first time you open it, macOS asks whether to open an app downloaded from the internet: choose Open. Optelect is signed and checked by Apple.

3. Sign in

Open Optelect and sign in with your email and password (and your two-factor code, if you turned it on). The app checks your plan and unlocks.

Working offline

Once signed in, Optelect keeps working without internet for up to 7 days (never past the end of your plan). Connect again from time to time so it can renew its check.
